From Creative Scotland:
In this month’s Investment Update we have: the launch of our Cultural Economy Programme and a new strand supporting public art; details of the latest upcoming application deadlines; as well as information on all of our Open Application programmes.
New Programmes Launched
A new 3 year programme which will support the development of the cultural economy by building the long term organisational and financial sustainability of the cultural and creative sector in Scotland. The programme aims to incentivise new business initiatives, strategic projects and collaborations that will underpin greater organisational, financial, digital, and environmental resilience.
Quality Production Arts: Public Art Research and Development
A new strand of Quality Production Arts to specifically support the initial research and scoping of a range of public art projects and approaches. Through this programme we aim to provide opportunities for communities across Scotland to develop more creative places through imaginative, artist-led projects. We want to encourage high quality projects that contribute to successful places, build new audiences and extend the diversity of public art practice.
Enquiries, Investment Open Lines & Drop-In Surgeries
Anyone in the process of putting together an application to one of our Investment Programmes can discuss any questions they have at one of ourOpen Lines or Drop-In Surgeries. You’ll be expected to have identified the programme you’re applying to, and have thoroughly read the guidelines. Creative Scotland officers will be able to then offer tailored assistance on any specific questions arising. The Open Lines happen every fortnight, whereas the Drop-In Surgeries tour the country.
