Introducing the award, goNORTH Director Shaun Arnold praised the Inverness based live events company, saying, “over the course of our 2011 campaign, goNORTH established a number of fresh partnerships with a broad range of new music businesses. Of all these new relationships, we felt one business in particular enjoyed an outstanding debut year. To date, this company has sold over 70,000 tickets, rapidly building an impressive portfolio of events, and working with artists including Rod Stewart, Simple Minds, Big Country, Westlife, Boyzone and JLS.”
Held at Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket last night, the 13th annual Scottish Music Awards featured performances from artists including Kassidy, Frightened Rabbit, the Rezillos, Song of Return, Big Country and Emeli Sandé.
